What it's Used For:
The A.S.R. (Accurate Stitch Regulator) is Janome's exclusive stitch regulation system for free motion quilting. An optical sensor reads how fast you move the fabric and adjusts your stitches on the fly, so Free Motion, Ruler Work, and Echo Quilting all come out with consistent, even stitch length — even if your hands don't move at a perfectly consistent pace.
- Includes four interchangeable feet: Closed Toe Foot, Open Toe Foot, Clear View Foot, and the Janome-exclusive Ruler Work Foot.
- Sensor sensitivity is adjustable, so the regulation can be dialed in as your free motion skills build.
- This kit only works with machines that have the built-in electronics to communicate with the A.S.R. sensor — it is not a universal fit. See the compatibility section below before ordering.

Check Compatibility Before You Order:
The A.S.R. requires a machine with the built-in technology to communicate with its optical sensor. It is not compatible with older Janome models, and aftermarket stitch regulators are not recommended for the same reason.
