Glide is a versatile thread that is great for piecing, free motion quilting, embroidery, top stitching and even bag making. The bonus here is Glide is virtually lint free, made in the USA and runs smoothly on your Janome sewing machine.

CLEAR JUKI BOBBINS

2.Obviously, to run your machine all hours of the night, you’ll definitely need your bobbins. These clear bobbins are perfect for the Janome F300, Janome F400, Janome F600 and all DX Models. Because these bobbins are empty, you have complete freedom to fill them with all of your favorite colors or your most used colors. You’ll be prepared for any project with these bad boys. And, because we love providing you guys with as many resources as possible, here is a video of how to wind your bobbin on a DX machine!

CLEANING SWABS

3.We know it’ll be hard to pull you away from you machine once you get those creative ideas flowing. But with hard work comes dirty machines! Don’t you worry though. We have the best cleaning swabs that get into every nook and cranny. You’ll be sewing again in no time. We recommend you clean your machine every 4-6 hours of use.

CAIRO QUILT THREAD

4.Cairo quilt is the perfect piecing thread. It’s an Egyptian long-staple cotton thread that is strong and durable compared to competitive cotton threads. The best thing about Cairo quilt thread is that it’s LOW-LINT and made in the USA. This 50 weight threads holds 670 yards in the mini spool and the king spool holds 3000 yards.

1/4″ FOOT WITH GUIDE

5.

What’s a computerized machine without a 1/4″ foot? This presser foot is used for piecing together patchwork with a seam allowance of 1/4″ (6.4 mm) thanks to that handy-dandy guide. Since the needle drops into a small round opening, the seam is stabilized to create a perfect straight stitch.

GATHERING FOOT

6.Another little accessories to make your life easier is the gathering foot. This foot automatically creates gathers in the fabric so you don’t have to. You can also use this presser foot to sew two pieces o fabric together while creating gathers in only the lower piece. Doesn’t get much easier than that! If you want to speed up your projects, this foot is a must-have for you.

SMOOTH PRESSER FOOT

7.What about a foot for those project that use materials other than cotton fabric? Don’t you worry! The smooth presser foot is used for materials that do not feed well and are difficult to sew, such as vinyl-coated fabric and leather. Adding this foot to your accessories opens up a whole world of possibilities for the projects you can create! The sky is the limit with this foot.

MAGNETIC GAUGE

8. If you couldn’t tell, the theme of this post is convenience. The magnetic gauge is arguably one of the most convenient seam guides out there thanks to it’s magnetic properties. This allows you to easily reposition or adjust the gauge whenever you need. The gauge is used as a guide for the edge of the fabric when sewing with a fixed seam allowance.

NARROW ZIPPER FOOT

9.This presser foot is used for sewing the very edge of the zipper, and sewing piping and D-rings that have more height than most fabrics. It allows you to get really close to any edge for those precise and professional looking stitches. Since the width of the narrow zipper foot is small, you can easily see the material while you’re sewing. It has two (right and left) recesses on its undersurface, so you can sew higher portions of the material while avoiding these portions. Such a handy little foot!

We hope this helped you decide what optional accessories would benefit you in your sewing adventures.
